Robert E. Dady Telephone: 305-357-5781 Robert E. Dady was born in the City of New York and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College in 1958. He obtained his LLB degree in law from Fordham University School of Law in 1961 and was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1962 and the Florida Bar in 1974. Mr. Dady moved to South Florida in 1970 from Washington, D.C., where he had been the general attorney for Levitt and Sons, Inc., to become a senior officer and general counsel to First Realty Investment Corporation, and then joined Cavanaugh Communities Corporation as General Counsel until 1974, both of which were publicly traded companies. In these capacities Mr. Dady was responsible for all corporate legal activities including real estate development and marketing and development of a variety of real estate products and services. Mr. Dady was the past chairman of the real estate practice group during the time he was with the international firm of Popham, Haik, Schnobrich & Kaufman, Ltd. from 1990 to 1996. He practiced in various private firm affiliations in Miami, Florida from 1974 to 1990. Mr. Dady was one of the original drafters of Florida's time sharing law and has contributed to regulatory enactments in Arizona and New Jersey. His particular specialties are time share and condominium projects and he continues to work with major time share developers and lenders as well as developers of residential and commercial projects. Mr. Dady has been a member of various bar association committees including the timeshare committee of the American Bar Association for which he was a speaker at the 1993 real property section meeting. He is also past President and current Vice Chairman of the National Land Council, general counsel to the Builders Association of South Florida, and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law teaching real estate law. |
